The Network of Cultural Centers of Color (NCCC) is a nonprofit membership organization dedicated to serving the needs of community-based organizations and artists of color. The NCCC can help you broaden your program outreach, build box office sales, promote your organization, develop partnerships with other organizations and much more!
Membership in the Network of Cultural Centers of Color provides the following benefits:
Funding Opportunities: through the Network funding sources can be identified. Residency, regional and project grants are available through the Refunding Initiative.
Publicity Package Exchange: four times a year the network gathers the season information from the membership, duplicates and sends these packages to the membership and funders.
Publicity Services: we provide access to our unique national and regional press contacts. We also can outline publicity campaigns to help you generate maximum national and/or regional exposure for your projects.
Touring Productions: over twenty productions from all artistic disciplines are available each season. There are nominated by Tier 1 members. These outstanding contributions from some of the country's finest cultural centers are attainable through Network collaborations for dramatically affordable prices. International members rely on Network members for tour expansion.
Annual Conference: held in conjunction with Folk Alliance (Washington, D.C.) annual conference. This is an opportunity to network with over fifteen hundred combined members. It is a rare opportunity to network on a global scale.
Membership Directory: a communication tool that connects your organization with over three hundred Network members. This list is provided free to members and is purchased by many funders and state arts agencies.
Associate Membership: the NCCC shares associated memberships with the North American Folk Music and Dance Alliance, The Association of American Cultures, National Association of Latino Conference and Association of Performing Arts Presenters. These associations enable members to share vital advocacy information with leading organizations of the field. You also receive advance notices of conference and events.
Services to the Field: take advantage of the Network's extensive experience in immigration and attaining nonprofit status. The Network also offers educational workshops for arts administrators, events managers, conference planning and special promotional campaigns.
Publication: The Network Newsletter is published four times a year and is a valuable tool for members to communicate. The newsletter contains valuable funding opportunities information, articles, auditions notices and job announcements.
Long Distance Savings: savings available below base rates for local and long distance phone use. This project with Excel Communications is an opportunity to create a monthly income by creating a phone network that benefits your organization.
Valuable Discounts: money off events and services.
Tier I $500 Annual Membership
Full NCCC membership entitles the holder possible regranting through application process for regional projects; access to the Network's local, national and international mailing lists and collaborations inside Network touring circles; and access to the NCCC database and newsletter. Tier I members are the sole organizations to nominate touring projects to the annual touring roster and brochure. Tier I members and their activities are included in month packages sent to members and funders. Tier I members may request any of the Network services at savings of up to 30% off regular price
Tier II $300 Annual Membership
Partial NCCC membership is offered to cultural centers of color that are members of any Network-affiliated members on Tier III. Tier II members are not eligible for the regional regranting program, but may request any of the Network services at a discount of up to 20%.
Tier III $250 Annual Membership
Affiliate membership is open to organizations that do not present projects of color only. Nonprofit service organizations also share this level of collaboration and advocacy for issues of mutual concern. Members in the category include: The Joseph Papp Public Theater, Washington performing Arts Society, ATLATL, Association of Hispanic Arts and National Performance Network, among others.
Tier IV $200 Annual Membership
This category is for individual artists who wish to use the Network's services, database and expertise for specific career advancement purposes. The Network is available to discuss marketing strategies and connect artists with NCCC-member presenters.
