KC Folk Fest
SUN FEB 19th: A one-day indoor folk festival at the Westin complete with morning gospel session, folksong sing-along, multiple workshop stages with local and international artists, a folk dance with instructor, a boutique artisan’s marketplace, and a headline artist closing concert.
WED FEB 15: Wednesday night holds an extended awards gala with red carpet reception and guest musical performances. Celebrations include the Spirit of Folk, Lifetime Achievements, and a series of new, member-voted awards, the International Folk Music Awards.
WED FEB 15 - SAT FEB 18: Nightly concerts feature a juried selection of emerging artists and touring legends from around the world. Artists span a range from Appalachian to World music, Celtic to Cajun, songwriters to instrumentalists, and traditional folk to cross-pollinations.
