2017 Overview

 

The Folk Alliance International Conference is the world’s largest gathering of the Folk music industry and community (crossing a diverse array of genres including Blues, Bluegrass, Roots, Celtic, Cajun, Appalachian, Traditional, World, and Singer-Songwriter).

The annual February conference (now in its 29th year) draws over 2,000 artists and industry (agents, managers, publishers, labels, festival/venue presenters, promoters, media) dedicated to folk music. Delegates who attended the 2016 conference represented 17 countries including the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, England, Scotland, Wales, Scandinavia, Continental Europe, Mexico, and Japan.

FAI is a 501c3 registered US charity with 5 regional affiliate organizations that also presents conferences and other programming in support of its membership.

 

Cancellation Policy

1. Registration fees are refundable (minus a $50 handling fee) until December 31, 2016.
2. Those canceling between January 1, 2017 and January 17, 2017, will receive dollar value credit toward the 2018 Conference/Camp in Kansas City, MO (February 2018). Conference credits cannot be used toward membership fees nor do they guarantee future exhibit space. 
3. Unfortunately there are no refunds or credits for cancellations after January 17, 2017, including due to illness or weather. 
4. There are no substitutions of participants allowed except in the case of company employees, which will be determined on a case-by-case basis by the Folk Alliance International office.
