Come join the Borderline Folk Music Club for their annual picnic and free folk festival in a tribute to the late Leonard Cohen in beautiful Germonds Park in Rockland County, NY 

An esteemed cast of musicians have been selected by the club to pay tribute to the influential songwriter Leonard Cohen, who passed away in late 2016. At least 25 of his songs will be presented between noon – 6 pm with professional sound on a mobile stage.
Artists performing a mix of Cohen’s songs and their own material include (in order of appearance); The Whispering Tree, Anne Price, The Palisades, Loretta Hagen, Peter Calo, Ron Renninger, Josh Joffen, Terry Kitchen, Mara Levine, Jerry Korobow, Banjo Nickaru & Western Scooches, Judy Kass, Kate Copeland, Jeremy Aaron, Pat Harper, Tom Cardullo, John Guth and Leo Harmonay, with Cohen’s most famous song “Hallelujah” as a sing-along finale! There will also be a Jam tent all day for those wishing to participate in playing and singing, led by Jerry Korobow.

Bring your own picnic lunch, lawn chairs and blankets.
Craft vendors will be on hand and food will be available at the Park concession stand.

Emcees for the day will be Michael Kornfeld, President of NERFA & the Folk Music Society of Huntington and founder of; Joe Pszonek, DJ of internet radio shows "Radio Nowhere" & "Finnigan's Wake" and Perry Stein of Ethical Brew Concerts.

This event is being co-sponsored by the Town of Clarkstown,, The Folk Music Society of Huntington, The Folk Music Society of NY (Pinewoods Folk Music Club) and Tribes Hill.

The Borderline Folk Music Club is the home of folk and roots music in Rockland County NY, devoted to presenting all types of folk music in an intimate and relaxed atmosphere for over 10 years. We have a dedicated audience that comes to listen and appreciate the music. The Borderline is a non-profit 501(c)(3) group. Previous festivals included tributes to Jean Ritchie, Si Kahn, Pete Seeger, Music of the Sixties and Tom Paxton.
