The Jellyman's Daughter (Official Showcase) Progressive Scottish Americana

Location: Edinburgh, Scotland

Scottish duo The Jellyman's Daughter lands squarely in the middle of a strange crossroads between bluegrass, post-rock, folk and the good kind of pop. Emily and Graham strive for originality in their songwriting, incorporating cello, guitar and mandolin in their songs. The duo share a unique affinity in their vocal harmonies, while Graham's cello can be "percussive as a drum, grounded as a bass or sweet as a fiddle"

After making each other’s acquaintance in the inspiring setting of Edinburgh, Emily Kelly and Graham Coe soon found an affinity in the way their voices blended and a new sound in the way they could combine cello and acoustic guitar or mandolin, Graham’s cello in particular adding an unique element with his rhythmic, percussive and unconventional playing.

“All songs stand alone with no weak links... Classy stuff ‐ a great future awaits” Americana UK 8/10

“Originality by the bucketload” Maverick Magazine

“Their sound is fresh, personal and well worth a listen” Folk Radio UK

“This pair from Edinburgh kicks up one heck of a storm” Acoustic Magazine
