Description of Music
Erin O'Dowd is a Cosmic Americana artist from Tulsa, OK who recently relocated to Nashville, TN. She writes because she has to. It is her raison d'etre, her passion, and her therapy. Her voice is often compared to Emmylou Harris and Norah Jones, and her songwriting style is a mix of Classic Country and Psychedelic Folk. She wrote her first song when she was 2, and hasn't stopped since. Erin's first single, "Robin's Egg Blue," made her a winner of the Searchlight Songwriting Competition, hosted by Jason Wilber, singer-songwriter and lead guitarist for John Prine. Erin has opened up for Kenny Rogers, Terri Hendrix & Lloyd Maines (who she also sat in with), "Seven Bridges Road" writer Steve Young, and hit author David Sedaris. She's played with John Fullbright- who also played on her upcoming debut album-and David Amram.

In 2017, Erin attended FAI as a part of The Oklahoma Room showcase, toured New York and Ontario, had a successful (and Projects We Love featured) Kickstarter project that raised $11,000, and moved to Nashville. Her debut record, Old Town is due out February 2018 and was produced by Travis Linville, Rolling Stone acclaimed singer-songwriter and guitarist for Hayes Carll. It features a song called "Songwriters Breakfast" that O'Dowd wrote for a Folk Alliance event of the same name, that she slept in through after staying up all night in The Oklahoma Room.'dowd
