Attending a music industry conference like FAI is an investment, but it doesn't have to break the bank. Here are some ways to save on your trip to FAI 2026 – or even attend for free!
When you become an FAI Member, not only do you get access to a list of great benefits, you instantly save on the FAI Conference too!
This discount stacks with the Artist Registration discount so if you're both an FAI Member and an artist, you'll save big without lifting a finger.
When you commit to volunteering for sixteen (16) hours at the conference, your registration fee is waived!
You get to attend for free and you get to be part of our amazing team! It's a great way to give to and connect with our community, and great way to attend on a budget!
We have scholarships available for first-time conference goers!
Scholarships typically cover between 50%-100% of your registration. You must be a member of FAI to receive a scholarship, but feel free to apply and then become a member once you’ve been accepted.
Priority is given to Official Showcase applicants and folks who have attended regional conferences (FARM, FAR-West, NERFA, Nordic Folk Alliance, SERFA, and SWRFA).
We know it's tough being an artist, so artists always save at FAI. When you register as an artist, the artist discount is automatically applied to your registration.
This discount stacks with the FAI Membership discount.

Bringing a 10-piece band to the conference? Go ahead! We cap our registration fees at $775 for large bands of four or more people so you don't have to pay to register every single member.
This only applies to Official Showcase Artists and Standby artists, status letters go out in August. You must be an FAI member to qualify for this rate. If you have four or more people in your band who will all be attending, please contact Folk Alliance International at fai@folk.org to receive a code for your registration, but DO NOT REGISTER UNTIL YOU GET YOUR CODE.

If you’re a student wanting to attend the FAI Conference, you can take advantage of our student pricing by registering as a student and providing your current student ID.
You can receive a $50 payment for each conference referral you make up to the full amount of your registration. Each referral must be attending the conference for the first time and pay to register.
If you can only make it out for one day, register for a Day Pass! Select the day pass as an option in the registration form. Just like standard registrations, Day passes prices increase as we get closer to the event.

Registration opens to everyone! At the lowest rate for non-members.

Our Regular Rate takes effect, though member, artist, and student discounts still apply!
Final
