Artist Scholarship Application

Please fill out this form to be considered for a scholarship to the Folk Alliance International Conference. Applications will be reviewed twice a month (near the 15 and 30 of each month). Please do not register for the conference until you received a scholarship notice.

Scholarships are competitive. If you are interested in receiving a scholarship, you must present a compelling reason as to why you should receive funding. A phrase or one sentence is not a complete response. Only applications with complete responses will be considered for a scholarship.

Limit submissions to one application per artist act.

The scholarship applies only to band members who are first-time participants.

Only those who have not attended the Folk Alliance International Conference in the past are eligible.

Those who have attended Folk Alliance Regional Conferences in the past are prioritized.

Verifications and Contact Information

Please check the following boxes acknowledging your responsibilities if selected to receive the Artist first-timer scholarship.

  • Participate in mentoring sessions online in advance of the in-person conference;
  • Attend the online Annual General Meeting;
  • Attend a minimum of three days of the conference;
  • Participate in first-timer events such as the orientation and group gatherings;
  • Attend the regions breakout meeting;
  • Attend relevant panels during the daytime programming.
